What is a VPS?

Virtual Private Servers (VPS) are servers built for and dedicated to one single client. That client can have as much control over their server as they wish, or avail of a range of a la carte management options from Tibus.

Tibus VPS are built on fully-clustered VMware platforms, on carrier-class Dell hardware.

Our VPS share physical hardware components with other Tibus VPS clients (e.g.server nodes and SAN). This makes them cost-effective and flexible. If you require dedicated hardware for your website or web application, you should instead consider Tibus' bare metal hosting services and private cloud services.

Engineered for reliability

1. Best software. Tibus VPS are fully functional servers based on VMware clusters. We do not offer the cheap multi-tenanted single server VPS offered elsewhere in the marketplace, as we believe that creates an unacceptable risk of failure for clients. The hardware that runs the Tibus VPS services is all completely fault-tolerant for robustness.

2. Best hardware. Tibus VPS run exclusively on carrier grade servers. We do not use cheap, unbranded or 'DIY' server hardware for our VPS - we use Gold-level supported Dell SANs and server hardware. This offers our clients peace of mind in terms of the hardware that powers their VPS.

3. Best data centres. Tibus chooses the best data centre in every market we operate in, despite the additional costs involved. We will never put our equipment in cheap hosting locations, as data centre quality is simply too important to hosting operations. We use only providers that are market leaders, providers that we know and trust.
