The map plots average connection speed in MB per second (mbps) by country.
You might be surprised to learn that the fastest average internet connection is to be found on the Norwegian islands of Svalbard and Jan Mayer, where the average connection speed is 36.50mbps.
But given that the islands only have one unique IP address between them, they have an unfair advantage. The Vatican City is in third place for similar reasons.
Taking those anomalies out of the equation and looking only at states with more than 25,000 unique IP addresses or more, it is South Korea who can claim the fastest average internet connection speed.
