Our technical manager David Farrell was recently in Manchester for the UKNOF (UKNetwork Ope
rators Forum).
UKNOF31 took place at Manchester Central Convention Complex on April 20, 2015. As usual, it was a brilliant forum.
For the uninitiated UKNOF is a conference involving all the major ISPs in the UK. If you're working in the industry and not currently attending these events, we would encourage you to change that. The forum is always very technical, always very interesting and always packed with informative talks and presentations.
The latest meeting was no exception and David reports that there were some excellent speakers.
UKNOF is something that all network operators can and should get involved with. You will find representatives from the major players there and, despite being headquartered in Northern Ireland, we're just as involved as the household names. We're keen to play our part and travel to every forum. Indeed, David sits on the
UKNOF programme committee.
So whatever the size of your operation, it is well worth making the effort to attend. There are usually three meetings each year, so it is not a major drain on time considering what you will get out of the day.
Have a look a the
UKNOF website for more details and make sure you look out for us at UKNOF34.
