If you listened to talkSPORT’s live online commentary of the first Test between the All Blacks and the British and Irish Lions last weekend, you will know that everything went smoothly with our streaming service, which underpinned the broadcast.

The work, know-how and testing that went into creating a stable network beforehand meant that the commentary streamed loud and clear throughout the match to listeners on the talkSPORT website.

All our devices and infrastructure stayed switched on and performing their duties for the full 80 minutes, which is more than can be said for the Lions' defensive line for a couple of New Zealand's tries.

With our monitoring systems showing that everything was functioning as intended during the match and no maintenance to be performed, our engineers were free to join other Lions fans by slumping with their head in their hands as the game unfolded in Auckland. The All Black ran out as 30-15 winners.

Like Lions coach Warren Gatland and his players, we will be back on duty for the second Test in Wellington this Saturday to once again provide the streaming platform for those listening to the match via the talkSPORT website.

Unlike Gatland and his players, we will be looking for the same result that our hard work produced last weekend.
