Background & Brief
The website was designed to support the teaching of nutrition and food safety elements of the Northern Ireland Home Economics Curriculum. In consultation with a number of teachers from around the province the site was developed for the Education Service of the Livestock and Meat Commission providing nutritional information applicable to the entire population. It additionally contains specific information and advice relating to key stages in the life cycle.
Services
Tibus provided the following services to The Livestock and Meat Commission:
- Brand generation and bespoke character design
- Eighteen self-contained interactive rich media activities, including games, quizzes and worksheets
- Design and implementation of the online Food4Life website
- In-depth consultancy with teachers, pupils and nutritional specialists to achieve the best way to convey the content interactively.
Results
- Launched as a major initiative in nutritional awareness by the Livestock and Meat Commission
- Used as an integral part of the home economics curriculum
